We need a strong individual contributor who genuinely understands React architecture, can design and build backend services, and make sound technical decisions without hand-holding. Responsibilities: - Designing and building features end-to-end across the LAEP+ stack. - Building and maintaining Python Lambda-based backend services. - Working with geospatial data at scale, rendering on the frontend, and processing on the backend. - Upholding standards for performance, maintainability, and observability. Requirements: - Strong, demonstrable React experience hooks, rendering model, component architecture, the works. - Experience working in and navigating large, established codebases. - Experience with a modern state management approach (Zustand, Jotai, Redux Toolkit, or similar). - Backend experience in Python REST APIs, data processing, and service design. - Experience with Postgres / PostGIS. - Experience with AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, S3). - Experience with observability and performance monitoring (Sentry, Datadog, CloudWatch, or equivalent). Nice to Have: - Experience in GIS or spatial data visualisation (deck.gl, Mapbox, Leaflet). - Codebase refactoring experience. - Experience working within a team on shared codebases.
