Role & responsibilities

- Manage GL accounting and month-end/year-end financial closures.
- Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports, P&L; analysis, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Independently plan and conduct risk-based internal audits across business functions.
- Identify control gaps, financial risks, and process inefficiencies; recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor internal controls, ICFR/SOX compliance, and closure of audit observations.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors and internal stakeholders for audit requirements.
- Maintain audit documentation, risk-control matrices, and process records.
- Drive process improvements, strengthen governance, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with finance, business, and operations teams to resolve issues and implement audit

Preferred candidate profile

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)



with 36 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in GL accounting, month-end and year-end closures, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience in financial controllership, accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance.
- Practical experience in conducting internal audits, identifying control gaps, and driving audit recommendations to closure.
- Good understanding of risk assessment, internal control frameworks, and ICFR/SOX requirements.
- Knowledge of Ind AS and IFRS, wherever applicable.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems; SAP or Oracle experience is preferred.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
