Role Description The Desktop Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for supporting and maintaining end-user computing environments. This role involves configuring, deploying, and managing desktop computers and peripherals, ensuring systems are secure, up to date, and optimized for performance. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, providing technical support to internal users, and performing routine troubleshooting across operating systems and business applications.





The Desktop

Engineer will install, update, and manage software, coordinate with other IT teams for escalations, and maintain accurate documentation of incidents, assets, and configurations. The role also includes contributing to continuous improvement of desktop standards, following IT policies, and supporting IT initiatives that enhance reliability and user experience.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of desktop computers and peripherals, including configuration, maintenance, and hardware support.
- Experience providing technical support and troubleshooting for end users in a corporate environment.
- Solid understanding of operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS) and basic networking concepts.
- Hands-on experience with software installation, updates, and license management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple support requests.
- Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach to resolving issues.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad and collaborate within cross-functional IT teams.
- Relevant technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications) or diploma/degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools, ticketing systems, and asset management practices is an advantage.
