At Modern Monk Labs, we combine scientific research with business expertise to help startups evolve and solve challenging problems. We’re looking for curious, hands-on researchers eager to explore how AI can power perception, learning, decision-making, and control in physical systems.

What you’ll work onDepending on your experience and interests, projects may involve:

- Physical AI and embodied intelligence
- Robotics, robot development, and autonomous systems
- Machine learning and deep learning for real-world applications
- Computer vision, perception, and image processing
- Robot learning, planning, and control systems
- Mechatronics and hardware–software integration
- Research paper analysis, implementation, and experimentation
- Designing and evaluating experiments with robotic systems

Who should apply?We’d love to hear from candidates who have:
- A candidate pursuing final year or having bachelor’s or master’s degree in robotics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related interdisciplinary field from IIT's/NIT's/IISC or any tier 1 institutes
- Strong Python and C++ programming skills, including OOP, data structures, and algorithms
- A solid foundation in mathematics, analytical thinking, and problem-solving
- An interest in reading, understanding, and implementing research papers




- A passion for hands-on experimentation and building intelligent systems

Experience with ROS, MATLAB, Simulink, computer vision, robot learning, or physical robot development is a plus. What you’ll gain
