Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Mechanical Design Engineer.

The Mechanical Design

Engineer will design, model, and detail mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating 3D models and drawings, performing basic design calculations, preparing documentation and bill of materials, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, software, and quality. The role also involves reviewing requirements, contributing to design reviews, resolving technical issues, and supporting continuous improvements in design processes and standards.

The engineer will work independently and as part of distributed teams,



communicating clearly and consistently to meet project timelines and quality expectations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong mechanical design skills, including 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;).
- Candidates should possess proficiency in CAD and related tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, AutoCAD or similar platforms).
- Candidates should possess skills in engineering fundamentals such as mechanics, materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerance analysis.
- Candidates should possess experience with product development workflows, design documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail for evaluating design options and resolving technical issues.
- Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work remotely and coordinate with global stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with industry standards, safety considerations, and basic quality assurance or testing practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in mechanical design for manufacturing or automation systems is an advantage.
