Design Head Grade
- Reporting to Director BE Mechanical 15 -20 years Role Design Verification-Estimation & Execution Responsibilities of the Incumbent Roles and responsibility:
- Co-coordinating Organizational and technical interfaces as per Quality System Document and communicate to concern.
- Design and development of existing products and current products
- Carryout modifications, improvements of products
- Ensuring the understanding implementation and maintenance of quality policy at all levels.
- Identifying and recording any product, process and quality system problems relating to Engineering and Design function.
- Initiating, recommending and providing solutions to identified problems through designated channels.
- Preparing, updating verifying quality planning in meeting the requirements for product, projects or contracts.
- Performing the activities of design function related to contact review.
- Preparing, reviewing and updating design plans.
- Identifying stages of design reviews. Hold design review meeting. Ensuring the design reviews and data verification, activities are carried out as planned preparing design review reports.
- Ensuring proper documents and data control.
- Maintaining National/International and Plant Standards
- Performing the activities of Design function relating to customer supplied products.
- Performing the activities of Engineering and design function related to product identification and traceability.
- Performing the activities of Engineering and Design relating to Inspection and Testing.
- Performing the activities of Engineering and Design relating to Control of Inspection Measuring and Test equipment.
- Performing the activities of Engineering and Design function relating to Control of Non-conforming products.




- Ensure that corrective/preventive actions taken are effective.
- Implementing the identified corrective/preventive actions and the changes to documented procedures as required.
- Performing the activities of Engineering and Design function relating to Handling Storage, Packaging, Preservation and Delivery.
- Maintaining the related quality records.
- Initiating the closure of non-conformance identified in the quality audits.
- Identifying the training needs and evaluating the effectiveness of training provided.
- Implementing the application of identified Statistical Techniques.
- Obtain Design input data and reviewing of input data for adequacy finalize input document.
- Resolve incomplete or conflicting requirement with customer through CCD.
- Ensure design meets input and make references to acceptance criteria.
- Identify stage of design output verification.
- Verification of design output.
- Provide data for design validation to QC/S&S.;
- Identify requirement of special measuring instruments during new design review and include in quality planning.
- Categorize design into new product improvement/modification of existing product.
- Identify personnel for design activity.
- Ensure design verification.
- Incorporate corrective action in design documents arising out of design verification.
- Review, analysis of Design concession request.
- Update, release of design document under exigencies of safety requirement and design corrections, functional needs and change in Customer requirements.
- Approve of Design/output documents i.e., G.
A. Drawing, Advance BOM, Bought out spec., detailed BOM, Calculations, Design changes, Modifications, Design Deviations, Concession request, plant standard and ERP/MRP related documents.
