About the Role

We are hiring an Academic Counsellor whose primary responsibility is to call interested leads, explain our programs, follow up consistently and convert suitable enquiries into paid enrolments.

This is an individual contributor role with daily calling and follow-up targets. You will personally handle assigned leads, maintain accurate CRM records and complete tasks assigned by your reporting manager.

Success in this position depends on consistent execution, clear communication and ownership of your assigned leads.

Key Responsibilities

- Make 30–40 outbound calls each working day to assigned enquiries and follow-up leads.

- Respond professionally to student enquiries through calls, WhatsApp and our official platforms.

- Understand each student’s goals, educational background, requirements and timeline.

- Explain JWA programs, including KIHON Japanese courses and scholarship mentorship, using the information provided during training.

- Conduct individual counselling calls and answer questions about course structure, fees, batches and enrolment.

- Follow up regularly with interested students and parents, with a clear next action for each lead.

- Handle common concerns about fees,



schedules and course suitability.

- Convert suitable enquiries into paid admissions and work towards assigned enrolment targets.

- Update the CRM daily with call outcomes, conversation notes, lead status and the next follow-up date.

- Share official brochures, demo details and payment links when appropriate.

- Coordinate with the internal team for payment confirmation and smooth student onboarding.

- Submit a daily report covering call attempts, connected calls, follow-ups and admissions.

- Provide accurate guidance without promising guaranteed scholarships, jobs or visas.

Requirements

- Strong spoken and written communication in Hindi and English.

- Confidence speaking with students and parents over the phone.

- Willingness to make calls daily and follow up consistently.

- Comfort working towards calling, follow-up and admission targets.

- Ability to follow established processes, apply feedback and complete assigned tasks on time.

- Basic computer skills and familiarity with WhatsApp, Google Sheets and CRM tools.

- A reliable laptop or desktop, reliable internet connection and a quiet calling environment.

- Full-time availability during agreed working hours.

- Interest in sales, admissions or student counselling.





- Prior experience in telecalling, telesales, customer handling or edtech admissions is preferred.

- Knowledge of Japan-related opportunities is helpful but not mandatory.

Candidates with strong communication skills, discipline and a willingness to learn are welcome.

Mandatory Training

Selected candidates must complete 5–7 days of training before independently handling leads.

Training will cover:

- JWA programs, fees and course details.

- An introduction to Japan education and scholarship pathways.

- Calling processes, student counselling and objection handling.

- CRM updates, follow-up tracking and onboarding procedures.

Compensation

- Fixed salary: ₹15,000–₹20,000 per month, based on relevant skills and demonstrated ability.

- Additional conversion-based incentives, with the structure explained during selection.
