Mechi – House of Uniforms is a growing B2B uniform manufacturing and supply brand based in Siliguri. We help organisations look their professional best through well-designed, high-quality uniforms.

We serve a wide range of institutional clients, including hotels, hospitals, corporate offices, schools, restaurants, security agencies, and industrial units. From hotel and housekeeping uniforms to corporate apparel, healthcare scrubs, and school uniforms, we focus on quality fabrics, practical design, and reliable service.

As we grow, we’re looking for a smart, proactive, and well-organised person who wants to learn how a real business runs from the inside. The role covers client handling, operations, and day-to-day office work.

Key Responsibilities

- Client Communication: Be the first point of contact for clients over phone and WhatsApp. Understand their requirements, share details, send updates, and follow up on enquiries.
- Client Relationship Management: Build professional relationships with clients and ensure smooth coordination from enquiry to delivery.
- Product & Fabric Knowledge: Learn about fabrics (cotton, polyester, blends, GSM, etc.), garment types, and uniform specifications, and explain the options to clients clearly and confidently.
- Quotations & Orders: Prepare and send quotations and catalogues, and track orders through production and delivery.
- Business Operations: Handle documentation, emails, and data entry, and maintain client and order records in Excel / Google Sheets.
- Coordination: Work with vendors, suppliers, and our production and design team to ensure orders are delivered on time.
- AI & Digital Tools: Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Canva AI, etc.) to draft messages, prepare documents, and work more efficiently.
- Marketing Support: Assist with social media content and marketing activities when required.
- General Support:



Take ownership of assigned tasks and help wherever needed in the daily functioning of the business.

Who We’re Looking For

- Excellent communication skills and a confident, polite phone manner in English and Hindi. Bengali and/or Nepali is a strong plus.
- Smart, presentable, and comfortable dealing with clients.
- Good computer skills: MS Word, Excel / Google Sheets, email, and documentation.
- Basic familiarity with AI tools.
- Basic understanding of fabrics, or a genuine interest in learning about them.
- Proactive, organised, detail-oriented, and good at problem-solving.
- Able to multitask, take initiative, and work independently when required.

Freshers are welcome. Graduates or final-year students from any stream are preferred. A background in BBA, B.Com, fashion, or textiles, or prior experience in sales or customer service, is an advantage but not mandatory.

Compensation
₹7,000 per month

Shortlisted candidates will first have a short phone call, followed by an in-person interview at our Siliguri office.
