Empire Overseas Education is hiring a Visa Filing Officer for our Kochi office. You will prepare and file visa applications for students and workers going to Europe, and keep each applicant informed until a decision comes back. The job needs accuracy, careful document handling and transparent communication.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file student and work visa applications for European countries, including Schengen national (D) visas and residence permits
- Build a document checklist for each applicant from the current embassy or VFS requirements, and check every document before it is filed
- Book and manage embassy, consulate and VFS appointments, and brief applicants before they attend
- Track each application's status and keep the internal tracker up to date
- Keep applicants updated by phone, email and WhatsApp, and follow up on missing or corrected documents
- Keep up with changes in embassy requirements, fees and processing times
- Handle passports and personal documents confidentially and in line with our data-handling procedures
Requirements
- 1–3 years' experience in visa documentation, immigration filing or a similar role (European visas preferred)
- Working knowledge of Schengen or European national visa and residence-permit processes
- Excellent attention to detail with documents, forms and deadlines
- Fluent written and spoken English and Malayalam; Hindi preferred
- Comfortable with online application portals, email and spreadsheets
- Graduate degree in any discipline
