Requires an experienced MEP BIM Coordinator / Lead to join our vibrant design studio in Kochi, India to lead the digital delivery of our MEP designs for projects throughout the Middle East. You will be collaborating on high end hospitality, residential, retail and commercial developments offering plenty of challenging opportunities to grow in an exciting environment. The ideal candidate will have an outstanding knowledge of BIM along with the ability to develop digital automation techniques to improve project efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with architectural, interior design, landscape, structural, electrical teams to deliver integrated and efficient MEP BIM models aligning with architectural intent.
- Excellent communication skills as this role will involve collaboration with Client team.
- Guiding a dedicated team of MEP modellers and ensuring quality is maintained at every stage of the project.
- Ensue the team produces complete and accurate drawings including printing and binding along with any other CAD/BIM related assistance for the project and Discipline engineers.
- Ensue the team support documentation preparation and submission to local authorities for approvals.
- Ensure the team prepare detailed drawings (CAD, Revit, etc) as per project requirement.
- Communicate and coordinate with all disciplines and stakeholders on a daily basis.
- Develop detailed 3D models of MEP systems, using Revit
- Create walk through models of completed projects
- Create parametric families and components for MEP systems.
- Capable of setting up the basic zoning of MEP from kick off to mitigate clash creation between disciplines
- Development of digital automation (automated placing of lighting, sprinklers, power outlets, etc),creation of MEP equipment schedules from Revit
- Generate detailed schematics, layout for MEP systems ensuring compliance with design standards.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of MEP systems representation in the BIM model, in accordance with local standards in the Middle East.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in MEP BIM modelling of buildings within a consultancy workplace, with a minimum of 3 years in a MEP BIM coordination / lead role. Demonstratable success in preparing clash managed MEP BIM models to LOD 100, 200 and 300.
