About the Role
Join the iBASIS Information Security function to strengthen day-to-day security capacity, continuous compliance and audit readiness, and monitoring and incident-response effectiveness. The Information Security Lead reports to the CISO and works closely with IT, Network, Operations, Engineering, Product, Legal/Privacy, HR, Finance, vendors and senior management.
This is a hands-on lead role spanning governance, audit, risk, incident coordination, vulnerabilities, technology controls and remediation across a global telecommunications environment. Scope: Global security governance, compliance, operations and incident response: Responsibilities
• Security Governance, Risk & Compliance
• Maintain and continuously improve the ISMS, security policies, standards, procedures, risk registers, treatment plans and security metrics.
• Support ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification and surveillance, TISAX, customer assurance, RFP/security questionnaires and evidence management.
• Coordinate security compliance activities relevant to iBASIS, including NIS2, DORA where applicable, GDPR/DPDPA security obligations, and telecom/customer contractual requirements.
• Lead internal security reviews,



audit preparation, corrective-action tracking and closure of findings.
• Perform information-security risk assessments, exception/risk-acceptance reviews and supplier security assessments. Security Operations & Incident Response
• Act as a key escalation point for cybersecurity incidents and support containment, investigation, recovery, root-cause analysis and lessons learned.
• Coordinate with iBASIS IT/Network teams and security service providers, including CrowdStrike where applicable, to drive investigation and remediation.
• Review security alerts, endpoint/network findings, suspicious activity and threat intelligence, and track actions through closure.
• Support incident communications, evidence preservation and post-incident reviews. Vulnerability, Patch & Control Management
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration-test findings and remediation across servers, endpoints, network devices, applications and cloud.
• Prioritize remediation based on severity, exploitability, exposure and business criticality; maintain owners and target dates.
• Validate core controls including IAM/PAM, MFA, endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption, logging/monitoring, backups and secure configuration.iBASIS | Information Security Lead | Recruitment JD SIEM/SOC & Monitoring
• Support implementation and operationalization of the iBASIS SIEM/SOC capability, including priority log sources, alert use cases, escalation paths and response playbooks.
• Work with Cybersecurity Analyst/SOC resources to improve monitoring, triage, evidence collection and reporting.
• Develop operational security KPIs/KRIs for CISO and management review.
• Telecom, Cloud & Product Security
• Support security reviews for voice, signaling, messaging, IoT/eSIM, IPX, BSS/OSS,



APIs and partner integrations.
• Participate in cloud, hybrid and on-premises security architecture/change reviews with focus on secure design, segmentation, identity, logging and resilience.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to embed security requirements into projects and new service introductions.
• Resilience, Third-Party Risk & Awareness
• Support cybersecurity aspects of business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Conduct or coordinate supplier security due diligence and track remediation actions.
• Support security-awareness activities for high-risk functions such as Finance, Procurement, IT and privileged users. Qualifications
• Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
• 4–7 years of information/cybersecurity experience with hands-on responsibility across security governance, risk, audit and/or security operations.
• At least 2 years supporting or leading an ISO 27001 ISMS and audit lifecycle; good to have TISAX audit experience.
• Preferred to have Practical experience with EDR/XDR, SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, IAM/MFA, vulnerability management, encryption and logging/monitoring.
• Working knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, OWASP and risk-management principles.
• Minimum knowledge on NIS2, GDPR, DPDPA and customer security assurance; telecom experience is preferred.
• Ability to produce audit-ready evidence, incident reports, risk statements and executive summaries. Required Skills
