Company: Gether Technologies Websites: https://gethertech.com https://cabexperiences.com About Meraki Communications and why this role exists Meraki Communications is a marketing and event agency based in Bangalore. We produce events and marketing campaigns for brands. Our travel business, Between Latitudes, designs travel experiences, and Backyard Collective is our social media marketing agency. We are changing how the company works so that AI is part of every department’s daily work. We call this being AI-native: each team uses tools built on AI models, and staff are trained to use, check and improve those tools. The reason is competitive. Clients are starting to expect faster concepts and proposals, more content for each campaign, and better reporting. This role leads the change. It needs one person who understands creative and marketing work from the inside and can also build the AI tools that support it.
Location:
Bangalore, with on-site time in each department. The role Title: Head of AI, Creative and Marketing Type: Full-time. Reports to the CTO and the CEO. This is a current role. You will build AI tools yourself, work inside each department to change how it works, and later hire a small team with the same mix of skills. Expect most of your first year to go to building tools and working alongside departments. Two kinds of experience matter equally for this role: creative and marketing work, and building with AI. We will not shortlist applicants who have only one of the two.
How to apply
Include both of these links with your application:
• Creative work you made or contributed to: a portfolio, showreel or campaign.
• An AI tool or workflow you built: a demo video, live link or code repository. Applications without both links will not be reviewed.
Experience:
Nice to have
• Experience as an early hire in a creative or agency business that was starting to use technology.
• Experience training or running workshops for non-technical staff.
• Experience with travel, hospitality or live events. Responsibilities Build AI tools for each business
• Map how each department works today: briefs, inputs, outputs, approvals and tools.
• Build AI tools for each department. Examples: a brief-to-concept assistant for events and campaigns; script, storyboard and mood-video generation for film and campaign work; a content pipeline for social media at Backyard Collective; itinerary and pitch generation for Between Latitudes; proposal and post-event report generation for client servicing.
• Decide when to build a tool, when to buy one, and when to connect tools we already use. Change how departments work
• Put each tool into the department’s daily process, and train staff to use, check and improve it without you present.
• Set review steps so that AI output is checked for accuracy, brand fit and client confidentiality before a client sees it.
• Measure the effect (hours saved per project, time from brief to first concept, content produced per campaign, client satisfaction) and report to the CTO and CEO each month. Build a small team
• Once the first tools are in use, hire and lead 2 to 4 builders with the same mix of creative and AI skills. Set AI direction for the company
• Keep leadership and department heads informed about what AI tools can and cannot yet do reliably.
• Own the AI tools budget and the rules for handling client data. Required experience
• 5 to 7 years of work experience in total. Creative and marketing experience
• At least 3 years working in or for marketing, advertising, film or video production, media, social media or event companies.
• Has worked on campaigns, films, content or events from brief to delivery, and can show the work.
• Has worked day to day with creative directors, producers, clients or event teams. AI building experience
• At least 2 years building tools with AI models: language models (AI that reads and writes text), image or video generation models, or AI agents (software that lets an AI model carry out a sequence of steps in other tools).
• Has built at least one AI tool or workflow that a team uses in its work, and can explain what went wrong with it and what changed as a result.
• Writes code (such as Python or JavaScript), or connects AI services to other software through their APIs (the interfaces one piece of software uses to work with another). Knows workflow automation tools such as Zapier, Make or n8n, and can judge when code is needed instead.
• Knows how to make AI output reliable: testing it against real examples, adding review steps, and keeping cost under control. Working style
• Writes clearly and can explain AI to colleagues who do not work in technology.
• Willing to work on site with each department. Who this role is not for
• Engineers whose experience is only in software, IT services, banking, insurance or similar sectors, with no marketing, advertising, film or events work.
• Creative professionals who use AI tools but have not built any.
• Someone who wants to research AI models rather than apply existing ones to client work.
• Someone uncomfortable with a services business, where client deadlines set the pace and a live event cannot wait for a software fix. Reporting line, team and location Reports to: CTO and CEO. Team: None at the start. You will hire 2 to 4 builders once the first tools are in use.
