Role Description The Assistant Professor of Pharmacology (On Contract) will be responsible for delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in pharmacology to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Mohali district campus. The role includes designing and updating course content, preparing teaching materials, evaluating student performance, and providing academic guidance and mentoring. The faculty member will be expected to engage in research activities, contribute to publications, participate in collaborative projects, and support the development of research culture in the department. Responsibilities also include participation in academic administration, departmental meetings, curriculum development,



and university events. This is a full time, on-site role based at Amity University Punjab’s campus in the Mohali district. Qualifications
• Educational background in Pharmacology or a closely related discipline (preferably PhD or equivalent; candidates with an MD/M.
Pharm/MSc in Pharmacology with solid academic credentials may also be considered).
• Demonstrated expertise in pharmacological principles, drug mechanisms, therapeutics, and related laboratory techniques, with the ability to teach these topics effectively.
• Experience or potential in academic research, including designing studies, data analysis, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and contributing to funded projects.
• Strong teaching and communication skills, including course planning, student assessment, classroom management, and the use of modern pedagogical and e-learning tools.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in academic committees, and contribute to departmental and institutional development.
• Commitment to ethical academic practice, inclusive teaching, continuous professional development, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Prior university-level teaching experience in pharmacology or related fields is highly desirable; experience in curriculum design or accreditation processes is an advantage.
