COMPANY OVERVIEW OM Steel Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is a Mumbai-based structural steel detailing firm. We provide steel detailing, connection design, material quantity analysis, and checking services to fabricators in the United States on commercial, industrial, and datacenter projects. POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a Senior Checker to review structural steel shop drawings, erection drawings, and models for US projects before submission. The role is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of detailing work and for guiding detailers on corrections. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Check shop drawings, erection drawings, and 3D models against contract drawings, specifications, and approved RFIs.
• Verify member sizes, dimensions, elevations, connection geometry, bolt and weld information, and material callouts.
• Check that connections match the approved connection design calculations.
• Review material lists and bills of material for accuracy.
• Mark up drawings clearly and follow up with detailers until corrections are complete.
• Identify missing information and raise RFIs to the project manager.
• Review revisions and change orders and confirm all affected drawings are updated.




• Train and guide junior detailers and checkers on AISC requirements and company standards.
• Meet submission deadlines set by the project manager. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 10 years of experience in structural steel detailing, with at least 5 years in a checking role.
• Trained in AISC standards (Steel Construction Manual, AISC 360, Code of Standard Practice).
• Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding symbols and RCSC bolting requirements.
• Experience on US projects (commercial, industrial, or similar).
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures and/or SDS/2.
• Able to read and interpret architectural and structural contract drawings.
• Positive written English for markups, RFIs, and internal communication.
• Able to join immediately. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with miscellaneous metals (stairs, rails, ladders) in addition to main steel.
• Experience on datacenter or large industrial projects.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup tools.
