Role Summary The Tutor Team Lead manages Smartleaf's team of remote tutors day to day. You'll keep lesson quality high, support and coach tutors, act as the first point of contact for parents, and take calls during Australian business hours across all Australian time zones. Key Responsibilities
Team leadership Manage tutors and teachers day to day: lead, motivate and support a growing remote team Manage the team's day-to-day duties, including making sure teachers attend their classes; build and manage schedules and rosters Run regular team check-ins and one-on-ones Help recruit, interview and onboard new tutors Quality and teaching standards Observe live and recorded lessons and give constructive feedback Page 1 of 3

Job Description
Make sure lessons line up with the Australian Curriculum Keep an eye on student progress and flag concerns early Help build and maintain lesson resources, worksheets and teaching guidelines Parent and student communication Answer inbound phone calls, emails and messages during Australian daytime hours Handle enquiries, trial lesson bookings and enrolments Resolve complaints and escalations professionally Give parents progress updates when needed Operations and platform Become an expert user of the Smartleaf platform (whiteboard, worksheets, maths games)



and train tutors on it Report bugs and feature ideas to the product team Track tutor KPIs such as attendance, punctuality, student retention and parent satisfaction Support child safety and compliance processes Essential Requirements At least 3 years' teaching or tutoring experience, with at least 1 year leading or mentoring others Strong knowledge of the Australian school curriculum Excellent spoken and written English, with a confident, warm phone manner Comfortable with online teaching tools, video calls and digital whiteboards Flexible with

and able to work reliably during Australian daytime hours across all time zones Police Clearance Certificate from India Well organised, able to juggle priorities, and comfortable working on their own Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet workspace and a valuable headset Desirable Teaching qualification and registration Experience at an online tutoring or edtech company Experience with scheduling, CRM or helpdesk tools Tutor Team Lead JD Specialist strength in Maths, English or Science Experience in a start-up or fast-growing business
