Full Stack Developer — Java, React & Event-Driven Systems

About the role
We’re hiring a Full Stack Developer with hands-on experience building event-driven systems using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Apache Kafka. You’ll own features end to end, from the action a user takes in React to the events that trigger work across services and the status the user sees when that work completes or fails. Responsibilities
- Build responsive React interfaces and the Spring Boot APIs and microservices that support them.
- Design event-driven workflows. Decide when a user action needs an immediate API response and when downstream work can run asynchronously.
- Define and evolve event schemas so producers and consumers can be deployed independently. Build Kafka consumers that handle retries and duplicate deliveries safely.
- Automate multi-step business processes. Make it possible to see which step failed and recover without repeating completed actions.
- Write unit, integration, and browser-based end-to-end tests. Cover failure scenarios such as a consumer receiving the same event twice or a downstream service becoming unavailable.
- Deploy containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Use logs, metrics, and tracing to follow a request across services and diagnose failures.
- Collaborate through Git and code reviews. Use AI development tools for coding, debugging,



and test generation, and verify their output before merging. Required experience Backend: Java, Spring Boot, REST API design, authentication and authorization, SQL, and database transactions Frontend: React with JavaScript or TypeScript, including forms, state management, and API integration Event-driven systems: Hands-on Kafka experience with producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, and ordering guarantees. Experience handling duplicate events, retries, and failed messages Workflow automation: Experience coordinating work across services, tracking progress, and recovering from partial failures Testing: JUnit 5 and Mockito for unit testing, Spring Boot Test or Testcontainers for integration testing, and Playwright or Cypress for end-to-end testing Development and delivery: Git, pull requests, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and AI-assisted development tools Experience with Camunda or n8n, schema registries, or the transactional outbox pattern is a plus. Contract terms This is a self-employed contract position with fixed compensation. No employee benefits or Provident Fund (PF) contributions are provided. The contractor is responsible for filing and paying their own taxes. Pay: ₹384,000.00
