Role & responsibilities

Become quickly conversant with the product range, including part numbers, model codes

and operation

- Act as the WIN subject matter expert and technical resource for engineering applications, ideas

and support

- Use expertise in fluid mechanics, physics and engineering principles to develop sustainable

customer solutions

- Use computer-assisted design / drafting (SolidWorks CAD) equipment to develop designs from

technical specifications

- Work closely with electrical, software and mechanical design engineers to produce well-integrated

packages

Team Leadership

- Form and lead the designated team in the technical department
- Drive positive team relations through communication, continuous improvement, learning and

cross-training programs

- Build up and develop the local application engineering team as the Indian entity grows

3.3 Customer and Sales Support

- Support customers and sales representatives in answering product inquiries and questions
- Communicate with contractor(s) and suppliers regarding design changes and recent or revised

drawings

- Assist with sales activities and warranty / service support of existing equipment as required
- Attend necessary training / industry trade shows to support the company and develop the personal

knowledge base

3.4 Quality, Compliance and Continuous Improvement

- Maintain good personal housekeeping practices and action 5S activities in all areas under own

responsibility

- Participate in the understanding and enforcement of company policies, standards and compliance

with ISO certification





- Contribute towards cost savings and company efficiency through observing lean enterprise working

methods

- Ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct and policies and standards

3.5 ERP System (IFS) - Local Key User Engineering

- Acting as local key user Engineering / Technical Master Data for the rollout of the IFS ERP system

at the Pune site

- Maintaining article, bill of material and design-related master data in IFS and supporting data

migration, testing and go-live activities

- Supporting the training of local staff in engineering-related IFS processes

4.1 Education and Experience

- Mandatory: High knowledge of hydraulics for system engineering design, including hands-on

experience for first system setup and after-sales cases

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; minimum 8-10 years of related experience and/or training; or

equivalent combination of education and experience

Technical drafting training; 3D SolidWorks, CAD

- Focus on smart engineering for hydraulic manifold solutions (including electronics and

products)

- Experience with ERP systems is an advantage; hands-on experience with IFS is a strong plus
- Preferred candidate profile

- Management skills to lead the team and make the company and the team successful
- Attention to detail and critical-thinking skills
- Fluent in English, C1 or better
- Fluency in Hindi, Marathi and/or Tamil is an advantage
- Competitive, entrepreneurial spirit and driven-to-succeed attitude
- Intercultural competence and confidence in working closely with the Swiss headquarters
