About the RoleEnsonic Computech Pvt. Ltd. (EKIN) is expanding its Government and Institutional Sales operations and is looking for an experienced Assistant Sales Manager for its Kolkata location.

The candidate will be responsible for developing business across Government Departments, PSUs, Educational Institutions, Universities, Colleges, Schools and Corporate/Institutional customers in the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate should have strong local market knowledge, established customer relationships and the ability to independently generate and convert business opportunities.

- Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop business opportunities across West Bengal and other assigned Eastern India territories.
- Identify and approach Government Departments, PSUs, Government Institutions, Universities, Colleges, Schools and other institutional customers.
- Promote and sell Smart Classroom Solutions, Interactive Flat Panels, Video Conferencing Solutions, Smart Displays, AV Equipment and related IT products.
- Build and maintain relationships with government officials, purchase departments, consultants, system integrators, dealers and institutional decision-makers.
- Generate leads through direct customer visits, references, networking, market intelligence and government procurement platforms.
- Identify relevant tenders and business opportunities through GeM and other government e-procurement portals.
- Coordinate with the central Tender Team for bid preparation, technical documentation and commercial submissions.
- Conduct product presentations,



demonstrations and customer meetings.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and sales presentations in coordination with internal teams.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, opportunity development, negotiation, order closure and payment follow-up.
- Coordinate with Technical, Pre-Sales, Tender, Accounts and Logistics teams for customer requirements and order execution.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends and upcoming government projects.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and submit regular sales pipeline and performance reports.
- Required Skills & Experience3–6 years of experience in Government Sales, Institutional Sales, B2G or B2B Sales.
- Strong understanding of the West Bengal and Eastern India institutional/government market.
- Experience in IT Hardware, AV Solutions, Smart Classroom Products, Interactive Displays, Video Conferencing or related industries.
- Working knowledge of GeM and government procurement processes.
- Established contacts with government departments, educational institutions, PSUs or institutional buyers.
- Strong business development, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
- Good communication, presentation and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.

QualificationGraduate in any discipline. Technical or MBA qualifications will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate ProfileCandidates with an existing network in Government Departments, Educational Institutions, PSUs and the IT/AV industry will be preferred.

The candidate should be a self-driven sales professional capable of developing the assigned territory and generating sustainable business.
