This role focuses on maintaining 100% count accuracy across inbound consignments, managing spare parts storage for the service team, and conducting structured weekly stock audits to ensure zero inventory leakage or discrepancies.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Goods Inwarding & Receipt Verification
- Physically receive all inbound shipments from factory containers, domestic suppliers, courier partners, and local vendors.
- Unload, inspect outer cartons for transit damage or tampering, and perform rigorous box-by-box and piece-by-piece physical piece counts.
- Cross-check received quantities and SKUs against Inward Delivery Challans (DC), Packing Lists, and Commercial Invoices.
- Immediately record discrepancies (shortages, excess, transit breakage) and report them to the Operations Manager with visual proof/photos.
- Stamp, sign, and maintain physical and digital Goods Received Notes (GRN) or Inward Registers.
2. Stock Keeping, Shelving & Bin Management
- Systematically organize and shelve accepted stock into designated warehouse racks, bins, and pallets.
- Ensure proper SKU segregation, labeling, and barcode tagging for easy retrieval and tracking.
- Follow First-In, First-Out (FIFO) standards where applicable, keeping high-velocity items accessible.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and proper stacking norms to prevent carton crushing or damage to optical and electronic equipment.
3.
Goods Release & Outward Dispatch Handover
- Pick, scan/verify, and release stock strictly against authorized picklists, sales orders, FBA replenishment sheets, or B2B delivery challans.
- Verify model numbers, serial numbers, and unit counts before handing over goods to packing staff or logistics courier personnel.
- Ensure outward registers are signed off by the dispatch team/driver for every batch released.
- Coordinate the release of replacement units or customer orders to delivery partners with matching documentation.
4. Spares & Service Inventory Management
- Maintain a dedicated, secure inventory cage/rack for all spare parts (mainboards, optical engines, lenses, power boards, remote controls, cables, adaptors, and filters).
- Issue spare parts to service/repair technicians strictly against service job cards or RMA numbers.
- Record inward receipts of recent spare shipments as well as components retrieved from defective/disassembled units.
- Maintain an up-to-date daily ledger of consumed vs. on-hand spares to prevent stock-outs during repairs.
5. Weekly Stock Audits & Inventory Reconciliation
- Conduct mandatory weekly physical cycle counts across all primary finished goods SKUs, packaging materials, and high-value spares.
- Compare physical counts directly against system records (Excel sheets / ERP ledger).
- Flag, investigate, and reconcile any variances between recorded stock and shelf inventory.
- Assist management during monthly and quarterly comprehensive inventory audits.
