Role Description The Senior System Architect will be responsible for designing, evolving, and documenting the overall technical architecture of the Superfan.ng platform in a full-time, remote capacity. This role includes defining system and service boundaries, selecting appropriate technologies, and ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance across the platform.

Architect will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, guide software development standards, and oversee integration of third-party services and internal components.



Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing and improving system designs, conducting architecture reviews, mentoring engineering team members, managing technical debt, and ensuring alignment with long-term platform strategy.

Qualifications

- Strong System Architecture and Systems Design skills to define and maintain a scalable, secure, and resilient platform.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Systems Engineering to implement and validate architectural decisions in production environments.
- Experience with Integration of services, APIs, and third-party tools to ensure seamless interoperability across components.
- Background in designing distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-native architectures (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Knowledge of database design, caching strategies, and performance optimization for high-traffic applications.
- Ability to create clear architectural documentation, diagrams, and standards for engineering teams.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working on remote, cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in edtech, consumer apps, or culturally focused products is an advantage.
