Position: Procurement Executive

Reporting To: Purchase Manager / Head SCM

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute procurement of raw materials (HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP, PET, Masterbatch, Additives, Inks, Solvents, Packaging consumables).

- Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.

- Develop and manage approved vendor lists, conduct vendor evaluations and audits.

- Coordinate with production, quality, planning, and stores for material requirement planning (MRP).

- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure compliance with commercial and technical specifications.

- Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs and excess inventory.

- Track market trends for polymers and packaging materials to support cost optimization.

- Ensure compliance with GST, statutory, and company procurement policies.

- Handle imports (if applicable): documentation, coordination with CHA, and logistics follow-up.

- Resolve supplier-related issues including quality deviations, shortages, and delivery delays.

- Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of plastic raw materials & packaging consumables.





- Vendor negotiation and contract management skills.

- Understanding of MRP, inventory control, and supply chain processes.

- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / Navision).

- Valuable knowledge of GST, import-export procedures (preferred).

- Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.

Experience

- 2- 5 years of relevant procurement experience

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Cost savings and procurement efficiency.

- Vendor performance and material quality.

- Inventory turnover and OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery.

- Compliance with procurement SOPs.
