Role Description The Professor of Computer Science will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions in core computer science and specialized areas, ensuring that course content is current and aligned with industry and research trends. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring students, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, and contributing to curriculum development and academic program enhancement. The role involves conducting and publishing research, seeking research funding, collaborating with internal and external academic and industry partners,



and participating in departmental and university committees.

The professor will engage in academic advising, support student career development, and contribute to outreach and academic events that elevate the department’s profile. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, with the ability to teach core and advanced subjects.
- Expertise in Programming and Curriculum Development to design, deliver, and continuously improve courses.
- Specialization in Data Science, with experience in data analysis, machine learning, or related areas.
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and practices, with the ability to integrate security topics into teaching and research.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Proven record of peer-reviewed research, publications, and scholarly contributions in relevant fields.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence at the university level, including effective classroom management and student mentorship.
- Ability to integrate industry trends and practical applications into teaching and research, and engage with industry partners.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and ethical academic practices.
- Experience in academic administration, accreditation processes, or program leadership is an advantage.
