About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Database Refactoring & Performance Architect - Oracle & Azure to lead database modernization, performance optimization, and cloud transformation initiatives across enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Oracle databases, Azure data technologies, database refactoring, and data architecture. This role will be responsible for analyzing legacy systems, optimizing database performance, designing scalable data solutions, and supporting Oracle-to-Azure migration programs while ensuring data quality, governance, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do:

- Analyze and refactor legacy Oracle database objects, including SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL code to improve performance,



scalability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
- Identify and eliminate technical debt, redundant database objects, duplicate logic, and inefficient processing patterns.
- Perform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and root-cause analysis to improve data quality and consistency.
- Design and optimize enterprise data models, analytical datasets, and reporting structures.
- Support Oracle-to-Azure migration and modernization initiatives, including schema assessment, performance tuning, and data validation.
- Develop and optimize solutions across Oracle, Azure SQL Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL environments.
- Design scalable data architecture frameworks that support enterprise analytics and reporting requirements.
- Build dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions using Power BI and related analytics tools.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Define and implement data governance, architecture standards, and best practices.
- Document data flows, business rules, mappings, technical specifications, and modernization recommendations.
- Support enterprise analytics, cloud transformation, and strategic data initiatives.
- Drive database performance assessments, optimization strategies, and architecture improvements.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- 8-12 years of experience in Data Architecture, Database Development, Data Engineering, and Analytics solutions.
- Strong experience in data analysis, SQL development, database refactoring, data quality management, and business intelligence.
- Deep expertise in Oracle Database (11g, 12c, and 19c) administration and development.
- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database and cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL,



query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Extensive experience developing and maintaining packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Proven experience identifying and resolving database performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges.
- Experience supporting Oracle-to-Azure cloud migration and modernization programs.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and analytics engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, reporting solutions, and business intelligence platforms.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, metadata management, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
