We are looking for an experienced L3 Cybersecurity Engineer / MDR Specialist to join our security operations team and strengthen our threat detection, investigation, and incident response capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks, Cortex XSOAR, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Sentinel, along with strong expertise in advanced threat hunting, digital forensics, and complex incident response.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead advanced cybersecurity investigations and complex incident handling.
- Perform proactive threat hunting and threat intelligence analysis.
- Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA), digital forensics, and impact assessments.
- Provide technical guidance to L2 security analysts during escalations.
- Lead incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SOAR playbooks and MDR processes.
- Improve detection capabilities and security monitoring across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Investigate sophisticated cyber threats, including ransomware, malware, phishing, privilege escalation, and lateral movement.
- Provide remediation recommendations and drive continuous security improvements.
- Support backup resources and on-call incident response requirements.

Required Technical Skills
- 8–12+ years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in SOC, MDR, or Incident Response environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks security solutions.
- Strong expertise in Cortex XSOAR , including playbook development,



automation, and integrations.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Defender XDR / Defender for Endpoint .
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM) and KQL-based threat hunting.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and hybrid/multi-cloud security .
- Expertise in security alert triage, threat investigation, incident handling, and response.
- Strong knowledge of threat hunting methodologies and cyber threat intelligence.
- Good understanding of MITRE ATT&CK;, NIST frameworks, and incident handling procedures .
- Experience with digital forensics, root-cause analysis, and remediation guidance.

Additional Requirements
- Government of Canada Level II (Secret) security clearance, as required for the engagement.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and incident reporting skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Ability to provide on-call support and collaborate with backup resources.
