MS Fabric Engineer - Job Description

Job Title: Microsoft Fabric Engineer / Data Engineer

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric

Develop and maintain data pipelines using Data Factory, Notebooks, and Spark

Build and optimize Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions

Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and cloud platforms

Create semantic models and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI

Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards

Monitor platform performance and optimize ETL/ELT processes

Collaborate with business stakeholders for analytics and reporting requirements

Support CI/CD, deployment automation, and DevOps best practices

Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support

Required Skills : Strong experience in Microsoft Fabric

Hands-on experience with: Data Factory

Lakehouse

Data Warehouse

OneLake

Real-Time Analytics

Spark / PySpark

Robust SQL and data modeling knowledge

Experience with Microsoft Azure services

Expertise in Microsoft Power BI





Knowledge of Python, Scala, or PySpark

Understanding of data governance and security

Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Microsoft Certifications in Fabric / Azure Data Engineering preferred

Experience in enterprise-scale analytics projects

Exposure to AI/ML and modern cloud analytics platforms

Experience Range

Senior Engineer: 5-8 years

Lead Engineer: 8-12 years

Architect: 12+ years

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Databricks and Snowflake

Experience in GenAI and Copilot integrations

Exposure to real-time streaming and event-driven architecture.
