This role requires technical expertise in operating equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring a sterile environment. The technician also provides support in monitoring patients during procedures and troubleshooting equipment.Key Responsibilities:Patient Preparation:Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization or other diagnostic procedures.Ensure that patients' medical histories are reviewed and provide pre-procedure instructions.Assist patients in dressing appropriately and explain procedures to alleviate any concerns.Assisting During Procedures:Set up and maintain sterile fields.Operate X-ray imaging equipment to assist with catheter insertion, stent placement, and angioplasty procedures.Monitor patient vital signs throughout the procedure.Provide the physician with needed instruments and materials during procedures.Equipment Management:Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment such as fluoroscopy machines, EKG monitors, and catheterization tools.Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.Calibrate equipment as necessary.Patient Monitoring:Assist in monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels before, during,
