## Responsibilities

Ø Plan and deliver dynamic dance lessons for primary/middle/secondary levels, focusing on technique, creativity, and cultural diversity.

Ø Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and confidence.

Ø Assess student progress through performances, practical demonstrations, and skill-based evaluations.

Ø Provide constructive feedback to students and parents, highlighting achievements and growth areas.

Ø Organize and coordinate school dance recitals, competitions, and collaborative performances.

Ø Collaborate with other teachers to integrate dance into interdisciplinary themes (e.g., history, literature, festivals).

Ø Manage dance resources, costumes, and equipment while ensuring a safe and organized space for dancing.

Ø Promote awareness of diverse dance forms (classical, contemporary, folk, etc.) and encourage fitness discipline.

## Skills

Ø Proficiency in multiple dance styles (e.g., Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Contemporary, Ballet, or Folk).

Ø Robust knowledge of dance theory, history, and CBSE performing arts standards.

Ø Ability to motivate students and adapt instruction for varying skill levels.

Ø Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Ø Tech-savvy (e.g., experience with music/video editing tools for performances).

Ø Passionate, patient, and dedicated to nurturing students’ artistic and physical development.

Key qualifications for your role

Ø Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or related field (e.g., Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Contemporary, or Folk Dance).

Ø B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification (preferred).

Ø 2+ years of teaching experience in a CBSE/ICSE environment (advantageous).

Ø Performance portfolio showcasing expertise in choreography and student productions.

Ø Familiarity with CBSE’s performing arts curriculum and assessment methods.

What additional criteria are important to the role?

Ø Willingness to lead extracurricular dance clubs (e.g., classical, folk, or fusion dance).
