Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Design piping systems for projects from the conceptual phase through design completion, as per project requirements and instructions provided by Lead Engineers.
- Perform 3D modelling using specifications, standard drawings, design instructions, plot plans, flow diagrams, line lists, and supplier information.
- Ensure designs are protected to operate and comply with all applicable codes and standards.
- Perform data consistency checks and clash checks.
- Complete 3D models, drawing arrangements, and piping isometrics.
- Review drawings from other departments and supplier equipment drawings.
- Coordinate and communicate with other project design and engineering disciplines.
- Document, record, and report meeting discussions, job progress, and construction completions.
- Incorporate project and customer feedback for design clarifications and modifications during development and construction phases (As-Built Documentation).
- Prepare progress reports for the Project Piping Area/Unit Supervisor.
- Review project specifications, administrative and technical practices, design instructions, plot plans, flow diagrams,



and supplier information.
- Prepare Bills of Material (BOM), drawing lists, specialty item lists, tie-in lists, and pipe support lists.
- Prepare equipment models, including access and maintenance spaces.
- Perform 3D modelling reviews and management.
- Review detailed engineering drawings and documents.
- Utilize stress reports and understand basic pipe support engineering.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of Combined Cycle Power Plant EPC project processes.
- Piping engineering experience, including 3D modelling using E3D and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of piping and equipment layouts.
- Understanding of international codes and standards, including ASME, API, and AWWA.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work on various types of projects, including responsibilities beyond modelling and drafting.

Educational Qualification

- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience & Career Requirements

- 15–20 years of experience in piping engineering.
- Must have at least 10 years of experience in power plant projects.
- Ability to independently perform 3D modelling using E3D and AutoCAD.

Pay: From ₹3,000,000.00 per year
