Delhi Public School, Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad is seeking an enthusiastic, talented, and dedicated Music Teacher to teach students from Grades 1 to 6. The candidate will be responsible for instilling a love for music, developing foundational rhythm and vocal/instrumental skills, and guiding students through both Indian (Classical/Folk/Patriotic) and Western music genres aligned with the holistic learning framework of the CBSE curriculum.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Curriculum Delivery & Classroom Instruction

- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music lessons (vocal and instrumental) tailored for young learners in Primary (Grades 1–5) and Middle School (Grade 6).
- Introduce fundamental music concepts: pitch, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, scales (Swaras/Saptak), notation, and basic instrument handling (e.g., Keyboard, Harmonium, Guitar, Percussion).
- Integrate Indian Classical, Light Music, Devotional, Folk, and Patriotic songs as well as age-appropriate Western vocal pieces into the curriculum.

2. Events & Co-Curricular Management

- Train, lead, and conduct school choirs and musical ensembles for daily morning assemblies, annual days, national festivals, and cultural events.
- Prepare and mentor students to participate in inter-house and inter-school music competitions.
- Collaborate with the Performing Arts department (Dance and Drama) for thematic celebrations and productions.

3. Student Engagement & Holistic Development





- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate that builds confidence, teamwork, and creative expression in students.
- Identify and nurture musical talent in individual students, providing advanced guidance where needed.

4. Administrative & Room Maintenance

- Maintain the Music Room and ensure all musical instruments, audio systems, and equipment are kept in good working order.
- Maintain records of student participation, progress reports, and lesson plans in accordance with school guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Credentials

- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Music (B.Mus / M.Mus) OR Sangeet Visharad from a recognized institution/university (e.g., Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Trinity College London certification, or equivalent).
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum 2–4 years of teaching music in a recognized CBSE or reputed K-12 school environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in playing key accompaniments (Harmonium, Keyboard/Piano, or Guitar).
- Ability to teach both Vocal and Instrumental basics to children aged 6 to 12.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
