Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Email Security Gateway (SEG) Engineer responsible for implementing, configuring, administering and supporting Proofpoint's email security solutions. The role involves protecting the organization's email environment against phishing, business email compromise (BEC), account takeover (ATO), supplier impersonation, email fraud and other advanced email-based threats. The candidate should have hands-on experience with Proofpoint/Symantec Email Security Gateway and associated security capabilities like Account Takeover Protection, Supplier Threat Protection,



Email Isolation and Email Fraud Defence. Responsibilities Implement, configure and administer Proofpoint Secure Email Gateway. Configure inbound and outbound email security policies. Manage anti-spam, anti-virus, URL defence, attachment defence and email filtering policies. Configure email routing, mail flow, trusted senders, blocklists and allowlists. Manage email quarantine, message tracking and delivery troubleshooting. Configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC-related email authentication controls. Perform policy tuning and investigate false positives and false negatives. Troubleshoot email delivery, routing, authentication and policy enforcement issues. Analyse message headers, SMTP logs, email traces and security alerts. Support integrations with SIEM and security operations platforms. Coordinate with OEM support for product-related issues and escalations. Maintain technical documentation, configuration records and operational procedures. Support email security migration and integration with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Qualifications 4–7 years of experience in email security, messaging security or cybersecurity. Hands-on experience administering and supporting Proofpoint/Symantec SEG solutions. Relevant Proofpoint/Symantec SEG product training or certifications preferred. Experience in enterprise email security implementations and migrations. Solid troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
