The product is a gamified, quiz-first app that explores African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. Designed for both Africans and the global diaspora, Superfan.ng aims to make learning engaging, culturally relevant, and accessible. Team members contribute to a mission-driven product that preserves and celebrates African heritage through interactive learning experiences. Role Description The System Architect at Superfan.ng will design and oversee the overall technical architecture of the platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security for a growing user base. This full time remote role involves defining system components and interfaces, guiding systems design decisions, and collaborating with software developers and product teams to implement robust solutions. The System Architect will evaluate and select appropriate technologies, lead integration efforts across services and third-party tools, and create documentation for system models, patterns, and standards. The role also includes monitoring system performance, troubleshooting complex issues, and continuously improving the platform’s infrastructure to support new features and content. Qualifications




• Candidates should possess strong skills in System Architecture and Systems Design to create scalable, high-availability platform solutions.
• Candidates should possess Software Development skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and contribute to implementation when needed.
• Candidates should possess Systems Engineering skills to manage end-to-end system behavior, performance, and reliability.
• Candidates should possess Integration skills to connect internal services and third-party tools into a cohesive technical ecosystem.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices, APIs, and distributed systems is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to document architectures clearly and collaborate in remote, cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience as a System Architect or Senior Engineer is an advantage.
