Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement BESS product safety requirements and compliance strategies.
- Conduct Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), FMEA, FTA, and safety studies.
- Lead battery safety evaluations, thermal runaway propagation analysis, and mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with national and international safety standards.
- Define product safety architecture for battery packs, racks, containers, and integrated BESS solutions.
- Coordinate safety testing, certification, and validation activities with internal and external agencies.
- Support incident investigation, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action implementation.
- Work closely with BMS, EMS, PCS, Mechanical, Electrical, and System Engineering teams.
- Review supplier safety documentation, qualification reports, and test results.
- Establish safety KPIs, safety processes, and design validation plans.
- Support product certification activities and customer audits.

Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Energy Storage, Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline.
- Experience in BESS, EV Battery Systems, Energy Storage, Renewable Energy, Battery Manufacturing, or Power Electronics industries.
- Exposure to global certification agencies such as UL, TÜV, CSA, Intertek, or DNV.
