The individual will take ownership of critical engineering initiatives, contribute to architectural decisions and work closely with product, design and engineering teams to deliver robust software systems.

The role requires strong programming fundamentals, hands-on development experience, problem-solving capabilities and the ability to drive engineering deliverables independently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development: Design, develop, test and maintain high-quality software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
2. System Design: Contribute to the design and development of scalable, distributed and high-availability systems.
3. Technical Ownership: Take ownership of complex engineering modules, technical deliverables and end-to-end feature development.
4. Architecture & Design: Participate in architectural discussions, evaluate technology choices and recommend effective engineering approaches.
5. Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable and efficient code while following engineering standards and best practices.
6. API Development: Design, develop and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices and third-party integrations.
7. Performance Optimisation: Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues and improve application efficiency.
8. Testing & Debugging: Develop unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews and ensure software reliability.
9. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers and other developers to deliver product requirements.
10. Technical Mentorship: Support junior engineers through code reviews,



technical discussions and knowledge sharing.
11. Engineering Excellence: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring and continuous improvement of development practices.
12. Production Support: Investigate complex technical issues and ensure system stability, scalability and availability.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript or C++.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience building scalable backend systems, APIs and microservices.
- Good understanding of databases, including SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of distributed systems, system design and application performance optimisation.
- Experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing and debugging.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
