Role Purpose To take end-to-end P&L; ownership for all operating RMC plants within the assigned zone, driving business growth, sales, plant operations, customer relationships, profitability, and operational excellence. The role will be responsible for ensuring that all plants achieve their revenue, volume, EBITDA, and profitability targets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. P&L; Ownership

- Own the complete P&L; of all operating RMC plants within the assigned region.
- Drive revenue, volume, EBITDA, contribution, and profitability in line with business targets.
- Monitor plant-wise financial performance and take corrective actions to improve margins.
- Optimize pricing, product mix, plant utilization, logistics, manpower, and operating costs.
- Prepare and execute annual business plans, budgets, and monthly operating plans for the zone.

2. Sales & Business Development

- Drive end-to-end sales across the assigned region and achieve volume and revenue targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, builders, infrastructure companies, contractors, and real estate developers.
- Identify new projects and business opportunities to increase market share.
- Develop project-wise sales strategies, pricing, and customer acquisition plans.
- Ensure timely collection of receivables and maintain healthy customer credit levels.
- Monitor competitor activity, market pricing, demand trends, and regional opportunities.

3. Plant Operations

- Take overall responsibility for the efficient operation of all RMC plants in the zone.
- Ensure optimum plant utilization, production efficiency, and capacity utilization.
- Monitor raw material availability, inventory, consumption, wastage, and procurement.
- Ensure adherence to approved mix designs, quality standards, and customer specifications.




- Drive preventive maintenance and minimize plant downtime.
- Ensure effective coordination between batching plants, dispatch, transit mixers, pumps, and project sites.

4. Logistics & Dispatch

- Optimize deployment and utilization of transit mixers, pumps, and other logistics resources.
- Ensure timely delivery of concrete to customer sites.
- Monitor fleet productivity, turnaround time, fuel consumption, and transportation costs.
- Resolve operational bottlenecks affecting dispatch and customer service.

5. Quality, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure strict compliance with RMC quality standards and approved mix designs.
- Drive quality control across all plants and customer sites.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, statutory, environmental, and company requirements.
- Establish a strong safety culture across plants, transport, and site operations.

6. People & Team Management

- Lead and develop the regional RMC sales, operations, quality, logistics, and plant teams.
- Set explicit targets and KPIs for plant and functional heads.
- Build a performance-oriented culture and ensure effective manpower utilization.
- Identify talent gaps and work with HR for recruitment, training, and succession planning.

7. Performance Monitoring & Governance

- Conduct regular reviews of plant-wise sales, production, dispatch, utilization, costs, EBITDA, collections, and profitability.
- Analyze plant-wise variances against budget and take immediate corrective actions.




- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Provide regular MIS and business updates to senior management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 1220 years of experience in RMC / Ready Mix Concrete / Construction Materials / Cement / Infrastructure.
- Strong experience in both RMC sales and plant operations.
- Proven experience managing multiple RMC plants and regional P&L;.
- Strong understanding of RMC production, mix design, raw materials, logistics, pricing, costing, and project sales.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience in driving revenue and profitability.
- Excellent leadership, customer management, negotiation, and team management skills.
- Engineering / Management qualification preferred.
