Qualification & Experience

- Full time Master's degree in Psychology (Clinical / Counselling)
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in wellness, counselling or student affairs, preferably in a residential or educational setting.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Residential Presence & Student Engagement

Maintain an accessible residential presence; engage regularly with students in hostels & campus spaces and offer initial emotional support, including during assigned non-office hours.

2. Student Support & Professional Referrals

Identify students requiring additional assistance; facilitate timely referrals to qualified counselling professionals and coordinate appropriate follow-up, without undertaking independent clinical intervention.

3. Inclusive Wellness Outreach

Proactively initiate, plan and implement awareness programmes, workshops and student-led initiatives promoting resilience, inclusion and a supportive campus

4. Counselling & Campus Coordination

Coordinate with counsellors, SWD, AUGSD, faculty mentors, hostel teams, the Medical Centre and other stakeholders to enable accessible services,



effective referral pathways and continuity of support.

5. Crisis Support & Escalation

Provide preliminary support within the role's scope; promptly escalate high-risk situations under institutional protocols and assist designated professionals with response and post-crisis follow-up.

6. Confidential Documentation & Improvement

Maintain secure records of interactions, referrals and follow-up; submit privacy preserving reports and use feedback & emerging trends to strengthen wellness services.
