Role & responsibilities
Implement and monitor workplace health and safety policies and procedures across the manufacturing facility.
Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations, factory safety requirements, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor permit-to-work systems for hot work, work at height, confined space entry, and other high-risk activities.




Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills, evacuation drills, and emergency response training.
Maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, incident records, and statutory compliance registers.
Monitor fire protection systems, emergency exits, firefighting equipment, and first-aid facilities.
Coordinate with department heads to implement corrective actions and improve workplace safety.
Support internal and external safety audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Promote 5S, housekeeping, and secure material-handling practices across the plant.
