Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SMT Line Incharge to manage day-to-day SMT production activities, ensure production targets are achieved, maintain quality standards, and supervise operators. The candidate should have practical knowledge of SMT processes, line balancing, manpower allocation, and production monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
Achieve hourly and shift-wise production targets while maintaining quality and productivity.
Allocate manpower based on operator skills, workload, and production requirements.
Monitor line performance, cycle time, machine utilization, and station-wise output.
Ensure proper line balancing and minimize production bottlenecks.
Monitor SMT processes, including solder paste printing, Pick-and-Place, reflow soldering, and inspection.
Verify first-piece inspection results and ensure compliance with work instructions.
Monitor material availability and coordinate with Stores and Planning teams.
Track machine downtime and coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering teams for resolution.
Identify, segregate, and escalate defective products and recurring quality issues.




Coordinate model changeovers, line clearance, and verification of materials and machine programs.
Maintain hourly production reports, rejection records, downtime logs, and shift handover reports.
Ensure barcode scanning, product identification, and material traceability.
Train operators and support skill assessments and cross-training.
Enforce SOPs, ESD precautions, PPE, 5S, and workplace safety requirements.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Stores teams to resolve production issues.
Identify productivity losses and recommend process improvements and Kaizen initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications
3 - 5 years of experience in SMT production or electronics manufacturing.
Diploma or Engineering qualification in Electronics or Electrical.
Hands-on knowledge of SMT line operations and PCB assembly.
Understanding of solder paste printers, Pick-and-Place machines, reflow ovens, and inspection processes.
Experience in manpower management, line balancing, and hourly production tracking.
Knowledge of quality inspection, defect identification, ESD, 5S, and safety procedures.
Positive leadership, problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.
