About EXST Coffee Lab
EXST is a specialty coffee experience center in Okhla, Delhi. We’re building a space where people can explore coffee at their own pace: taste different origins and brews, work out what they actually like, and leave knowing a little more than when they walked in. Just good coffee, honest guidance, and room to find your own palate.
The role
We’re looking for a bakery chef to help build and run our food program. That means a tight menu of sweet and savory small bites: croissants and laminated pastries, cookies, tarts, and savory bakes. You’ll work with us to develop recipes, keep them consistent, and make sure every plate looks as positive as it tastes. This is a valuable fit for someone early in their career who wants real ownership of a menu.
What you’ll do
Develop and test a small, focused menu of baked and savory bites
Handle daily production: laminated doughs, cookies, tarts, savory pastries
Keep quality and consistency high on every batch
Plate and present each item with care, for the counter and for guests
Manage prep schedules, stock, wastage, and ingredient sourcing
Maintain hygiene and FSSAI standards in the kitchen
Work with us on pairings, so food and coffee bring out the best in each other
What we’re looking for
A diploma or certificate from a bakery or pastry school, or up to 1 year of experience in a bakery, patisserie, or café kitchen
Solid basics in laminated doughs, cookies, and tarts
Some experience with savory bakes (quiches, savory tarts, filled pastries, focaccia, or similar)
A sharp eye for presentation
Consistent, organised, and willing to repeat a recipe until it’s right
Open to feedback and keen to learn
Good to have
An interest in coffee, or a curiosity to learn how flavours pair with it
An internship or stage at a bakery, café, or hotel kitchen
A portfolio or Instagram showing your work
