Your key responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
Provide technical guidance, evaluate project feasibility, and drive engineering best practices across initiatives.
Develop high-quality, modular data solutions using contemporary data engineering tools and frameworks.
Manage data integration and ETL processes from multiple source systems to enterprise platforms.
Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance through automated testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with data scientists, modelers, BI developers, stewards, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes.

You bring:
5+ years of experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale data pipelines and data platforms.
Robust expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark, dbt, Databricks, Git.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), CI/CD implementation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Proven ability to deliver scalable, reliable, and well-documented solutions with strong testing and automation practices.
Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Demonstrated leadership experience in team management, project delivery, and driving technical excellence; exposure to scientific datasets, FAIR principles, or data governance is a plus.
