Department: Ophthalmology / Eye Operation Theatre

Position: Eye OT Assistant

Experience Required
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; Experience in an eye hospital or ophthalmic operation theatre preferred.

Qualification
Diploma / Certificate in OT Technology or relevant paramedical qualification preferred.
Practical experience in ophthalmic OT procedures is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Assist ophthalmologists during eye surgeries and OT procedures.
Prepare the operation theatre before scheduled surgeries.
Arrange and check ophthalmic surgical instruments and equipment.
Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of instruments.
Maintain OT hygiene and follow infection control protocols.
Assist with patient preparation and positioning before surgery.
Monitor the availability of surgical consumables and OT supplies.
Maintain OT registers, sterilization records and procedure documentation.
Coordinate with surgeons, nurses and other OT staff for smooth operations.





Candidate Profile
Minimum 3 years of experience in an ophthalmic OT.
Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical instruments and sterilization procedures.
Familiarity with cataract surgery and other eye procedures preferred.
Valuable coordination, discipline and attention to detail.
Qualified and patient-focused approach.
