Role Description The Commi 1 role at HOTEL SIGNATURE is a full-time, in office position based in Bhubaneswar. The individual in this role supports the kitchen team by assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items according to standard recipes and quality guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in work areas, following food safety procedures, and ensuring timely service during meal periods. The Commi 1 collaborates closely with senior chefs, follows instructions for menu execution, and helps with inventory checks and basic kitchen documentation.



This role requires a strong commitment to teamwork, punctuality, and consistent quality in all food-related tasks.
Qualifications
Should possess strong Food Preparation and basic Cooking skills, with the ability to follow recipes and portion guidelines.
Should possess solid Culinary Skills, including knowledge of kitchen equipment, basic cutting techniques, and food presentation standards.
Should possess good Hygiene practices, with an understanding of food safety, sanitation procedures, and clean workstation maintenance.
Should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with chefs and team members and respond to operational needs.
Relevant experience as a Commi or in an entry-level kitchen role in hotels or restaurants is preferred.
Basic culinary education or certification from a recognized institute is an advantage.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and perform tasks in a quick-paced kitchen environment.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures.
