JOB TITLE : MANAGER - SOURCING (FABRIC) PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

•Translate design briefs and seasonal calendars into fabric development plans.

•Source and develop performance knits (jersey, interlock, pique, fleece, mesh, spacer) with nominated and new mills.

•Manage sampling, handlooms, lab dips and testing to meet development milestones.

•Negotiate development cost, MOQ and lead time; set up bulk-ready fabric.

•Build the knit fabric library and hand over approved fabrics to Bulk.

•Bring current technologies to the brand (recycled, moisture management, stretch).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

•Bachelor's in Textile Technology (Knitting preferred); NIFT / textile PG a plus.

•10–15 years in knit fabric development, with sportswear or athleisure brands.

•Experience working with brand-nominated mills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

•Circular knit constructions, yarns (polyester, nylon, spandex, recycled) and performance finishes.

•Fabric costing and consumption.

•Capability to risk analysis the fabric qualities at the development stage to align with stakeholders.

•Testing standards for performance fabrics (wicking, stretch & recovery, pilling).

•Knowledge on PLM / ERP and development trackers in addition to testing knowledge.
