Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop comprehensive project schedules using software tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Prepare baseline programs, and update and maintain project schedules throughout the lifecycle.
Define project milestones, key deliverables, and critical path activities.
Monitor and track progress against the plan and identify any delays or bottlenecks.
Resource Planning
Coordinate with project teams to estimate resource requirements (manpower, materials, equipment).
Ensure the availability of resources as per the project plan.
Forecast potential shortages or surpluses and suggest mitigation strategies.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to align on planning objectives and progress.
Chair or participate in planning and coordination meetings, ensuring action points are tracked and executed.
Provide explicit planning deliverables to execution and procurement teams.
Delay Analysis & Mitigation
Identify risks or delays early and assess their impact on timelines and project cost.
Prepare recovery plans and advise corrective actions.
Maintain proper documentation for Extension of Time (EOT) claims or contractual notices related to delays.




Reporting & Documentation
Prepare periodic progress reports (daily/weekly/monthly) for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain updated planning logs, S-curves, histograms, and progress charts.
Provide inputs for cost forecasting and cash flow based on the schedule.
Budgeting & Cost Control (Support Role)
Work closely with the cost control team to align the schedule with the budget.
Assist in tracking project costs against planned budgets.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure that planning and scheduling practices adhere to company standards and contractual obligations.
Support audits and compliance checks related to planning documentation.

Skills & Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s is a plus).
15–18 years of experience in construction planning, preferably in large infrastructure or industrial projects.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel.
Robust analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Valuable understanding of project management principles, contract management, and construction methodologies.
