VMC Programmer

Santosh Engineering Works is looking for an experienced and technically skilled VMC Programmer to join our manufacturing team at Dehugaon, Pune.

Experience: 510 Years

Salary: 32,000 – 42,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience and competency)

Qualification: Diploma / BE Mechanical

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently handle CNC VMC programming, machine setting and component development.
- Develop and execute programs for current components and production requirements.
- Must have good working knowledge of Fanuc CNC controllers, G-codes and M-codes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T; and machining specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, holders and machining parameters.
- Handle new component prove-outs, tool trials and process development.
- Optimise machining cycle time, productivity and tool life.
- Develop suitable machining sequences, fixtures and work-holding arrangements.
- Troubleshoot machining issues related to dimensional accuracy, surface finish, tool wear and vibration.




- Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure consistent product quality.
- Maintain setup sheets, tool lists, machining parameters and process documentation.

Technical Skills Required:

- Strong hands-on experience in CNC VMC programming.
- Good knowledge of Fanuc controllers, G-codes and M-codes.
- Experience in precision machining and automotive component manufacturing.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, carbide inserts and machining parameters.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Knowledge of 4th-axis machining and CAM software will be an added advantage.

Candidate Requirements:

- 5–10 years of relevant VMC programming experience.
- Must be capable of independently handling programming, setting and new component development.
- Good technical knowledge, problem-solving ability and process optimisation skills.
- Candidates with practical experience in precision engineering and automotive component manufacturing will be preferred.
