Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Science and Environmental Studies lessons for primary classes (Classes I–V).
Explain scientific concepts using real-life examples, experiments, demonstrations and hands-on activities.
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments and teaching-learning materials.
Promote curiosity, observation, creativity and scientific thinking among students.
Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Identify individual learning needs and provide additional academic support.
Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Maintain students' academic records and communicate progress to parents.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events and academic activities.
Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom learning.
Educational Qualifications
Graduation/Postgraduation in Science or a relevant subject.
B.Ed. / D.El.Ed. or other applicable teacher-training qualification.
CTET qualification, wherever applicable.
Required Skills
Robust subject knowledge in Science.
Excellent English communication skills.
Effective classroom management.
Activity-based and experiential teaching skills.
Valuable presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle young learners with patience and creativity.
Experience
Relevant primary-school teaching experience preferred.
Experience in CBSE curriculum will be an advantage.
