Role Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst cum Tester to support the EIR (Effective Interest Rate) Implementation in Kondor Treasury System. The candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Treasury Investments, Investment Accounting, and Regulatory Compliance while driving requirement analysis, functional validation, user acceptance testing, and end-to-end implementation activities.

The role requires robust expertise in Treasury Operations, Investment Accounting, RBI Guidelines, Ind AS 109 compliance, and Kondor trade lifecycle management across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, and Finance functions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to EIR implementation in Kondor.
- Work closely with Treasury, Finance, Risk, Accounting, Operations, and Technology teams to understand business requirements and implementation impacts.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), test scenarios, and process workflows.
- Conduct impact analysis across Treasury functions and downstream systems.

Treasury & Investment Accounting SME

- Possess strong understanding of Treasury investment products and accounting treatment.
- Understand end-to-end trade processing lifecycle in Kondor across:

- Front Office

- Middle Office

- Back Office
- Finance & Accounts

- Ensure implementation complies with

- RBI Investment Guidelines

- Ind AS 109

- Internal Accounting Policies

- Regulatory Reporting Requirements

EIR & Valuation Validation





- Validate Effective Interest Rate (EIR) calculations and amortization schedules generated by Kondor.
- Perform end-to-end validation for:
- Government Securities (G-Sec)

- State Government Securities (SGS)

- Corporate Bonds

- NCDs

- Floating Rate Bonds

- Perpetual Bonds

- Structured Bonds

- Securities with Call/Put Options

- Staggered Redemption Instruments

- Verify and validate

- Constant Yield Method calculations

- Premium amortization

- Discount accretion

- Effective yield calculations

- Accrued interest computations

- Interest income recognition

- Amortized Cost Accounting

Discounted Instrument Validation

- Conduct detailed validation of EIR calculations and accounting treatment for:
- Treasury Bills (T-Bills)

- Certificates of Deposit (CD)

- Commercial Papers (CP)
- Verify system-generated amortization and yield computations against manual calculations.

Accounting & Regulatory Testing

- Validate accounting treatment across:

- HTM (Held to Maturity)

- AFS (Available for Sale)
- FVTPL (Fair Value Through Profit & Loss)

- Validate

- Premium amortization

- Discount accretion

- MTM calculations

- Interest accruals
- Profit & loss impacts

- Investment classification changes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.

Testing Responsibilities

- Prepare comprehensive test strategy, test scenarios, and test cases.

- Act as the primary liaison between Treasury Business Teams and IT implementation teams.

Required Skills & Competencies

Functional Skills

- Strong knowledge of Treasury Products and Investment Accounting.
- Deep understanding of EIR methodology and Constant Yield Method.
- Expertise in Ind AS 109 and RBI Investment Guidelines.
- Knowledge of HTM, AFS, and FVTPL classifications.
- Understanding of MTM, Accrual Accounting, and Yield Computations.
- Strong understanding of Treasury Operations and lifecycle processing.

Technical Skills

- Hands-on experience with Kondor Treasury System.
- Experience in Treasury product configuration and testing.
- Strong SQL and data validation skills preferred.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.

Analytical Skills

- Ability to perform detailed accounting and financial validations.
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to interpret regulatory and accounting requirements.

Education

- CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA / FRM / M.Com / B.Com with relevant Treasury experience.
- Treasury certifications will be preferred.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in Treasury transformation or Kondor implementation projects.
- Prior experience in EIR implementation, Ind AS 109 compliance, or investment accounting projects.
- Experience working in Banks, Financial Institutions, or Treasury Consulting engagements.

Success Criteria

- Successful implementation and validation of EIR calculations in Kondor.
- Compliance with RBI and Ind AS 109 requirements.
- Accurate accounting and regulatory reporting outputs.
- Timely completion of SIT/UAT with minimal production defects.
- Effective coordination across Treasury, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams.
