Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – HR to lead HR operations at the manufacturing facility in Ponneri. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in industrial relations, union handling, statutory compliance, employee relations, and HR operations within a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage overall HR operations for the manufacturing plant.
Handle industrial relations and union-related matters effectively.
Maintain positive relationships with employees, workmen, and union representatives.
Manage collective bargaining, wage negotiations, settlements, and disciplinary proceedings.
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.
Handle labour department inspections, notices, and statutory documentation.
Ensure timely completion of all statutory compliance requirements.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with company requirements.
Manage employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Coordinate with plant management and business leaders on workforce-related matters.
Monitor manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and workforce deployment.




Manage contract labour and coordinate with contractors to ensure statutory compliance.
Maintain HR records, registers, and other compliance documentation.
Support employee engagement, training, performance management, and retention initiatives.
Prepare and present HR/IR reports and MIS to senior management.
Advise management on labour relations, compliance, and employee-related matters.

Candidate Profile
15–20 years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing/plant workplace.
Strong hands-on experience in IR, union handling, and labour compliance is mandatory.
Should have experience managing workmen and large-scale workforce operations.
Solid knowledge of applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
Candidates who are currently handling plant HR / IR responsibilities will be preferred.
