Diploma

1 to 2 years

Requirements

- 1-2 years of experience in tool crib operations or CNC machining tool management.

- Basic knowledge of cutting tools, cutting tool materials and tool geometry.

- Basic knowledge of milling cutters, drills, taps, boring tools and inserts.

- Ability to identify different types of cutting tools and tool holders.

- Basic knowledge of tool grades, coatings and applications.

- Knowledge of tool inventory management and stock maintenance.

- Basic computer knowledge for maintaining tool records and reports.

- Ability to identify damaged, worn-out and reusable cutting tools.

- Valuable coordination and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Issue cutting tools, tool holders and accessories to CNC operators as per requirements.

- Maintain daily records of tool issuance,



returns and consumption.

- Monitor cutting tool stock levels and inform the supervisor about low-stock items.

- Inspect returned tools and segregate reusable, damaged and worn-out tools.

- Maintain proper storage, identification and organization of cutting tools.

- Support tool presetting and tool assembly activities, if required.

- Maintain tool inventory and update stock details regularly.

- Coordinate with the Purchase and Production teams for tool availability.

- Monitor tool consumption and support cost-control activities.

- Follow 5S and maintain cleanliness and discipline in the tool crib area.
