iSteer is seeking a Platform Engineer / TIBCO Flogo Developer to support integration-platform implementation, containerized application delivery, and selected application rewrites in TIBCO Flogo. The role combines practical platform and integration engineering with development of lightweight services and flows, followed by deployment, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.

The successful candidate has working knowledge of TIBCO administration and hands-on Flogo development experience, particularly with REST services, EMS listeners, and database flows.

Key responsibilities

- Work with platform administrators and architects to implement and validate platform, application, and deployment patterns.
- Build, configure, and deploy containerized integration applications using approved baselines and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and maintain TIBCO Flogo applications, including REST services, EMS listeners, and database integrations.
- Review existing BW5 applications with the team to understand interfaces, processing, dependencies, and suitability for a Flogo rewrite.
- Preserve agreed interfaces and integration behavior when implementing rewrites; support comparison of new and existing application results during parallel runs.
- Implement common application capabilities and patterns such as configuration, logging, and error handling in line with the agreed design.
- Support application and platform deployments, perform sanity checks, and troubleshoot defects across development and test environments.
- Collaborate with customer developers and testers during functional and regression validation; support defect investigation and resolution.




- Contribute to technical documentation, deployment notes, runbooks, and knowledge transfer.
- During hypercare, help monitor application health, investigate incidents using logs, traces, and metrics, tune container settings, and deliver fixes through controlled pipelines.
- Hands-on development experience with TIBCO Flogo.
- Experience building REST services, EMS listeners, and database-integrated flows in Flogo or closely related integration technologies.
- Working knowledge of TIBCO administration and integration concepts, including BW5 and EMS fundamentals.
- Understanding of APIs, messaging, database connectivity, application configuration, error handling, and logging.
- Familiarity with containers and deployment into Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift environments.
- Ability to work with CI/CD pipelines, workplace-specific configuration, and deployment troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with architects, administrators, developers, and customer teams.
- Clear written communication and disciplined documentation practices.

Preferred qualifications

- Experience migrating or modernizing BW5 applications, or assessing application suitability for containerization or Flogo rewrites.
- Familiarity with TIBCO Platform Data Planes, Control Tower, and application deployment workflows.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, centralized logging, or production application monitoring.
- Exposure to parallel-run validation, production cutovers, hypercare, or integration support.
- Relevant TIBCO, Flogo, Kubernetes, or OpenShift certifications.
