Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Textile Engineer with hands-on experience in weaving operations, loom machinery, thread selection, woven fabric design and production management. The candidate should have solid knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, quality control, R&D; activities and manpower handling.
Key Responsibilities
1. Loom & Weaving Operations
- Handle and monitor daily loom and weaving operations.
- Ensure smooth functioning of weaving machinery and equipment.
- Understand different types of looms, weaving techniques and fabric structures.
- Monitor loom efficiency, production output and machine performance.
- Troubleshoot loom-related operational issues.
1. Thread & Woven Design Knowledge
- Knowledge of different types of yarns, threads and their properties.
- Understanding of warp and weft arrangements.
- Develop and implement woven fabric designs as per product requirements.
- Select appropriate threads and materials for weaving applications.
- Ensure fabric strength, durability and dimensional stability.
1. Production & Manpower Management
- Manage daily production planning and execution.
- Handle shop-floor manpower and allocate work according to production requirements.
- Monitor production targets, machine utilization and productivity.
- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams.
- Minimize production wastage and improve operational efficiency.
1. Quality Control
- Monitor quality at different stages of weaving and production.
- Identify and resolve fabric defects and weaving-related quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain quality inspection and production reports.
1. Research & Development (R&D;)
- Work on new woven designs, product development and process improvements.
- Conduct trials for new threads, yarns and weaving techniques.
- Develop samples according to product specifications.
- Support material selection and technical evaluation.
- Explore innovative solutions to improve product strength, quality and performance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of loom operations and weaving technology.
- Understanding of yarn, threads, warp and weft.
- Knowledge of woven fabric design and development.
- Experience in production planning and shop-floor management.
- Manpower handling and team coordination.
- Knowledge of quality control and R&D; processes.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of textile testing and inspection methods.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- B.Tech in Textile Engineering is mandatory.
- Practical experience in weaving and loom operations.
- Experience in textile manufacturing or industrial woven products.
- Ability to independently manage production, quality and manpower.
Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
